Welcome! Thank you for visiting my web site! I am an independent artist -- singer, composer, pianist and arranger. My husband, Nick, a techie - is my audio engineer and web master. Together, we have embarked on an adventure... bought our own studio gear and are in the process of recording and producing an Indie Gospel Jazz CD called: A Choir of One! and also a Jazz CD called Gail Selkirk - Songbird of Swing! As we record and produce our CDs, we're using this web site to chronicle our progress. Latest News (September 19th,  2008): Canada's unofficial second national anthem used to be Hockey Night in Canada's theme song, a song which opened every National Hockey League game on the CBC broadcasting network for the past 40 years or so.   Recently, the licensing contract for the song came up for renegotiation and the CBC lost rights to the theme when it was outbid by the CTV network. The CBC turned this quandry into an opportunity — they announced a nation-wide contest for a replacement and I decided to put on my musical skates and came up with an entry which you can listen to below: Note, if you only see a grey square above, updating your flash player will likely allow you to see and play the flash file.
