Background of the SongIt usually takes me just 2 days to write a song. Take Me To Your Spirit took 10 years. I'd start it, ruminate over it, get disgusted with it and toss it into the "someday" bin. One day, however, I got sick of moving it from bin to piano, piano to bin. I plucked it out, worked all day on it and finished it that night. I personally think it was worth the wait. The Gory Details:I was aiming for a big choir sound so I used 12 "Gailettes" - 4-part harmony with 3 voices to each part. David Kalmusky played the beautiful guitar tracks and Jimmy Boudreau played the fabulous drums. |
